2. Download & Installation

IMPORTANT! Check your Control Panel settings prior to installation! If running Windows XP – Themes must be set to Windows XP or Windows Classic. Any other theme could cause the display of text and graphics to be invisible. If you have a 19” monitor or larger: Be sure your DPI setting is set to Normal (96) Find this in Control Panel/Display/Settings/Advanced/General Tab After installing the game, right click on the desktop icon and select Properties/Compatibility and select 256 colors. NOTE: After you view your computer ID and close the game, your default resolution will not be reset. You will need to manually reset it this one time only in Control Panel/Display/Settings.

a. Download & SAVE (to your desktop or My Documents) the WINZIP file that contains 6 files including ATLT-Setup.exe which is the installation file for America’s Time Line Trivia.

You need ZIP software to unzip this file. If you don’t already have this software, a free trial download of WINZIP is available at http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm

b. Double click on ATLTSetUp zip file. This box will display:

3. Troubleshooting-FAQ’s.doc	FYI- In the event that you have problems (also on our website.)
4. ATLT Installation Instructions.doc	FYI – Additional info. on website with pictures.
5. XPHome.bat	The file that must be run if game player has a limited user sign-on on Windows XP Home machine.
6. XPProfessional.bat	The file that must be run if game player has a limited user sign-on on Windows XP Professional machine.

c. Select all 6 files from the Winzip folder (highlight the first file, hold down Shift key, and press down arrow key) and click Extract. Extract to your desktop or my documents.

This folder will display:

d. Open the ATLT Setup folder and the following files will display: (If installing from a disc, these are the files that will be on the disc.)

Game Installation
If working on a machine with Windows XP that is set up with both administrator and limited user rights, the game must be installed by the administrator. See additional info below for customers using XP limited rights

e. Double click on the ATLT Setup File (with the computer icon) to kick off the set up. Follow the instructions the game provides. To complete installation you will need to shutdown and restart your computer before the installation process is complete.
